CK Rewind: July Edition
July has been another jam-packed month for CK, from charity football games to expanding our team and capabilities, let’s sit back and reflect on the last 4 weeks!
Business Activity
A couple of months ago, CK introduced our brand-new business unit ‘Managed Services’ which brings an array of new and innovative capabilities as well as room for expansion in our team. We have welcomed a team of specialist Mail Room and Technical Administrators who have ensured our Managed Services department has got off to a flying start! As we continue to increase our capabilities and therefore workload we are always on the lookout for new talent, if you are an enthusiastic and experienced individual in this field then please keep an eye out for our socials where we share new job opportunities!
July was a month of networking for CK, Jaime, Cath and Neil attended the East Durham News & Business Networking event where we met with other local businesses and shared information about what we do here at CK and how we could collaborate with the community. We have also welcomed Sean Clark to our team as a graduate software developer, Sean has just celebrated his graduation from Newcastle University with his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. CK are keen to welcome young talent to the business and support them in their first steps of their professional career, we can’t wait to watch Sean progress with us.
Supporting the local community
At the start of the month our CK football team took to the pitch for a charity football tournament, in association with Sellick Partnerships and charity ‘If U Care Share’. CK helped support and raise money for If U Care Share which is a charity that was set up to support suicide bereavement and prevention.
Daniel O’Hare was 19 years of age when, without any warning, he took his own life. If U Care Share Foundation was created in memory of him. If you are struggling or know someone who has been bereaved by suicide, see how ‘If U Care Share’ can support you.

July was Samaritans #talktous month where the charity aimed to raise awareness about suicide and how it is okay to need support, when life is difficult, Samaritans are there – day or night, 365 days a year. CK are proud to support local schools and colleges by providing work experience weeks for young people. A couple of weeks ago we had the lovely Summer and Olivia visiting us, they had experience across a range of departments including:
– Finance
– Customer Services
– Managed Services
– Hand Fulfilment
We thoroughly enjoyed having the girls helping out for the week, they were a great asset to the team 😊
